Be careful on this mod. Rolex Service Center Will Not service this watch with the dial change you want to do and apparently neither will any authorized independent. I,m going to spend $1700 on my 1968 Sub 1680 at RSC Dallas changing some mods I made in the early 80's just to be able to get a proper cleaning/ overhaul. Rolex reserves the right to refuse service on any watch they feel has been "customized" by the owner. Btw, they will not "confiscate" the modded watch and force you to change it back to factory specs. They will give you an estimate to change it back and if you decline the work, they will send it back to you without doing the overhaul. Checked this point carefully with customer service at RSC Dallas. Good luck
