Help please and apologies in advance

Hi, it’s my first time on the Forum so I hope you can help me please?
Apologies in advance for being dumb and panicking, also apologies for bringing up a subject you probably have heard enough about.
I’ve just bought a Rolex Datejust for my wife from a UK Ebay seller (I know, that was potentially stupid). The words in the ad and from the vendor seemed fine but the final auction price finished low for what the watch is (£2100). The watch is on its way to me now and I’ve started to get the jitters and read all sorts of real vs fake comments. One site tells me there is never any engraving on the watch back, which the photo shows is there!!
The photo’s aren’t brilliant but I can send some more when I receive the watch.
The words in the advert were:
“This is an amazing 100% genuine factory original rolex two-tone 18k yellow gold & stainless steel datejust watch with real diamonds, everything is the original 100% rolex.
This watch is in excellent condition, and the best thing is that if you aren't happy with the watch then we will give you a 100% refund. This type of watch sells new for £5,500! This 100% genuine rolex has no dents, dints, scratches or any signs of wear, it also comes the original boxing and certificate. This watch measures 26mm in diameter; not counting the original rolex signed 18k yellow gold screw-down crown. The original 18k gold hands are in magnificent condition. The original rolex scratch-resistant sapphire crystal is in perfect condition also. The factory original gold champagne rolex dial with 10 genuine round brilliant diamond markers is in perfect condition. The diamonds are factory rolex and mounted in 18k yellow gold. They face up bright white and are flawless in clarity! The original rolex officially certified chronometer self-winding automatic movement with quick set date function is running amazingly and keeps excellent time. We are a well trusted business which have been around for years, but we have only just decided to set up an ebay account, that is why we don't have much feedback but it is all positive. Have good trust in us as we will refund you 100% if you aren't completely satisfied.”I’m obviously hoping the watch is genuine but would be very grateful for your opinions and any advice you have.
Thanks in advance for your time.

the watch is overall ok it's not a total fake, the dial is NOT original and is AFTERMARKET 100%.

That watch is a fairly old model and that dial style was not in existance, i would check the band for authenticity, the end pieces look correct but the band section may have been replaced on an older watch due to stretch and the endpieces and clasp retained, get some close up of the clasp for us, and of the screw links. The glass has been converted to sapphire crystal and should be pexi so that not original either. I have also seen those photos before on the internet from a well known usa seller, be careful he has not just stolen the photos and sends you a fake, is he a reputable seller of watches. Be careful of the bait and switch.

Some of the older Ladies only DJ had writing on the caseback. Don't quote me on that. Anybody?

Correct Tom.

David is spot on.
Apart from the aftermarket diamonds the dial states T Swiss Made T but I don't see much lumious material at all.
Looks like it has had a few polishes.

I would need pix of the movement to be sure?

It seems this bracelet is quite worn down too. The price is not that cheap.

Taking into account the assertions in the ad and the guarantee given, you have grounds to send it back if you so wish. If you like it, enjoy it!

That's great info, especially about seeing the photo's before in the U.S. many thanks.
The supplier is in the UK but made mention of shipping the watch over from his warehouse in the U.S. He posted it on Ebay as "New with tags", so it's definitely not that. Also he's (over) stressed it's all original.
I'll get the watch and see what it's like before makinng my next move. If the quality feels up to it and I think my lady will be pleased I'll post some more photo's. I paid through Paypal so I should be able to return it as it's not as described. Thanks once again.

Gentlemen, you'll see I'm a true novice. Could you clarify a couple of points for me please? I've still not received the watch so I can't confirm serial or model numbers as yet, but will do on it's arrival.
You mentioned the " T Swiss Made T " marks, does this refer to the luminous material that would have been on the batons?
What age do you think the watch is judging from the photo's?

I'm no expert, but it doesn't look right to me. Hope I'm wrong. It's too late for 'advice' now.
These enquiries should always come before you buy.

Sincerly, if the watch is 100 % authentic ( if! ), £2100 is too expensive for this one.

Curiouser and Curiouser??

Gents, the watch itself actually arrived today much to my surprise, and events became even more bizarre. It appears fake to me but I’d welcome your expert opinion. However, for some reason the seller has sent me, not a ladies Datejust of 26mm dia as adverttised, but a men’s 36mm dia watch. The face is not champagne, but MOP. I’ve posted some photo’s here and will do a follow up post as I think it shows the maker has tried to answer some of points a novice like me should look out for. The Crown logo is engraved into the “crystal” at 6 o/c. The serial number is engraved around the inside of the bezel. A hologram is stuck to the case back, but it appears 2d rather than 3d. The movement is automatic and the second hand moves well. The paperwork seems to be a only a token gesture as there are no instructions for the watch itself and the COSC looks photocopied, although it is on double sided paper.
On closer inspection the writing on the dial is awful, plus it feels too light to be a Rolex (sorry I did not bother to weigh it, but I have a Breitling Navi and that is a reassuring weight in comparison). I’m fairly confident that I can get my money back through Paypal as it’s “not as described”, but subject to what you say about the authenticity I want to make sure that no one gets caught by this guy in future.
I look forward to receiving your comments. Thanks once again for your help.

Imono and Mickey, I'm not trying to be clever and I do understand the watch is fake. I've been a twat and I don't want to see this guy selling to others through eBay. I know Breitling to some degree but not Rolex, hence what you probably think are dumb or suspicious questions. I trust I'm going to get my money back through PayPal and am attempting to ascertain how safe a purchase over the internet is for me. The answer seems to be not bloody much. Thank you all for your input.

OP, for the sake of this forum credibility there is no room on this board for fake/replicas discussion. At least, this is my understanding.

I hope you will recoup your money but do not take it personally if people doubt your sincere words: many times scammers come here only to "test" their products and strategies. Therefore users tend to be distrustful.
