Panerai 372 or Rolex 216570 Explorer 42mm
I'm fortunate enought to own a Panerai 372 along with other Panerai. I've sold all my Rolex infact, in the persuit of Panerai. I've always loved the 372 even though it always felt a bit big on my 6 3/4" wrists but since getting a 390 its seen very very little wrist time.
I've had all the stainless steel sports models over the years and out of all the SD was my favourite. I've never had a 42mm Explorer and think the black faced could be the perfect compliment for the rest of my collection. What everyone think? Sell my 372 and acquire a 216570?

It appears you really like 44mm Luminors.
"IF" I were to do it, I'd get a SD over the new expy II, plus you said you loved it! ;-)

Branching out from luminors wouldn't be a bad thing and if you don't worry about the brushed bezel of the Explorer II, then, go for it. FWIW, for me, the LVc is the perfect SS Rolex sports watch. Good luck with the choice.

If size is fine for you then I'd suggest you keep the 372 as its one of the coolest watches in its price range. IMHO the 42mm explorer 2 sucks in every way!!

the price of 42mm exp2 has came down quite a bit, if it sings to you, why not?

the new explorer II fits extremely well and is an exceptional piece in the current rolex line-up...
so if you haven't, at least try it on, in both colors.

Tough call, for me I would change it up with the Rolex. But can't lose either way.
