Panerai and wrist size

Hi guys,
First post on this forum.
Long time vintage Rolex collector, who have recently fell in love with Panerai.
I am looking to purchase my first one and I am a bit concerned about size.
I have a rather small wrist, 6.25, and believe the 40mm model is the most suitable.
Anyone with small wrists wearing 42/44 models ? It would be great to see some pics.

I have a small wrist and I wear a 112. I think it fits nicely and I don't really care what other ppl think as long as I enjoy it.

Physically try some models on is the best way before you pull the trigger!

I have a smallish wrist (6.5") My first PAM was a 40mm because I thought it would look more proportionate... What a mistake. From the minute I got it, I couldn't wait until the day I bought a 44mm. Try on both but understand the the look of a Panerai is lost in the 40mm... It looks like a ladies version of the 44mm

As long as the lugs don't extend beyond your wrists, it's completely fine.

I have a 6.5" wrist and wear a 47 mm ,, no problems at all
it just what you are used to see on your wrist ,,,
plus i never got a negative comment on the size of my 422 all the comments where positive

I have a 6" wrist, I own few different sizes, 40, 42, and now a 47mm. It is matter of personal preference, there is no right or wrong .. It just how you like it! with a small wrist like us.... It mostly about the thickness of the watch.

Six and three quarters here. I started with a 42mm 338, then after I got used to it decided to add a 44mm base Luminor, but ended up with a 233. I have tried on 47s and they no longer seem that big.

I acknowledge that the camera angles at least in my crappy photos somewhat distorts the size on the wrist. The 40mm is not a large as it appears, but I can accept all of them. As others have said, I don't care what conventional wisdom is regarding how a PAM should look or wear. I like the 214 @ 40mm especially on the SS old style bracelet.

Frankly I am considering abandoning my quest for the 422 since I think 47mm is too large. My wrist is just about 7".

You might try a 44mm Luminor case: 111, 005, 000 or similar.

Recently bought a 42 and think it is just right. Personally, I think some of the above wrist shots prove that you can go a little overboard on the size if you have a small wrist.

If I may suggest going into the store and try on the 40mm vs. 44mm. The difference is HUGE! 44mm fit great on my 6.5 inch wrist and 40mm just look a little off for me vs my wrist proportion.

My wife has 5.5" and wears 40mm just fine.

I say with 6.3" go with a 44mm Luminor or a 45mm Radiomir. The Radiomir will wear smaller even though it is 45mm.

My wrist is 6.5" and I wear 44mm, 45mm and now 47mm

I think you'll be fine with any size. Just make sure you try them first and like them as some of them wear quite differently from others, even if they are the same diameter.

I would opt for 44mm & have an easy option to flip for smaller if you find it too big, than start small & face a more challenging flip when the urge to go larger starts nagging away.

I like a clean dial, therefore it will be 111, 000 or 176.

I like the zero a lot, unless you could get a hold of a 390 or one of the Boutique Editions, i.e, 416, 417, etc.

I have a 6.25 inch wrist also. You should be fine with the 44 and 45 mm models. The "trick" is to get the strap fitting snug. My 233 is about the limit for me. Thicker models (e.g. 312) might be too much for my wimpy wrists.
