Most Versatile Rolex?
Just curious as to what you guys/gals think.
It has often been asked: what is the perfect everyday rolex? But that is very different from the most versatile. Old or new style....doesn't matter. What do you think is the most versatile? sport, dress, casual....etc...what goes best in every single situation. I am thinking DJII (white or black dial) with the smooth bezel or the GMTIIC. What say you??

I might be biased but I'd vote for the Datejust 36mm.

i get that most people answer with their favorite watch. But do you really think that the SD is the most versatile in terms of being suitable for every environment?

If you ask me, I think the SD could be a very versatile watch if worn by somebody who can pull it off. Me thinks it's too big for my wrists though and I prefer smaller watches, hence my decision of forgetting about the GMT-IIc and going for the classic (at least in my humble opinion) original Datejust.

"I am thinking DJII (white or black dial) with the smooth bezel or the GMTIIC."
And I am thinking that you are right on target, I have one of each (white face DJII) and find that that meet every need for me. |

Why would a SD be more versatile to something like a Submariner?

I had a DJ and it was pretty versatile. I then thew on a Sub and it destroyed my reality so to me the sub is versatile. It saved Bonds a**
