Older GMT's crown size

I don't know if is just me, but I think I've noticed that the crowns on older GMT's (non ceramic) vary in size? If so, when did the crowns change?
I have an older Pepsi, and when I looked at a friend of mine's Coke GMT II, it seemed the crown was bigger on the II compared to mine which is a bit older.
Can an expert chime in please?
Thanks a lot!!

Didn't know this. No wonder I felt my 16750 had a small crown. Thanks

Interestin how much easier it is using a crown that's a tad larger.

The 16753 Root Beer makes my fingers hurt so it lives on a winder. The newer 16570 Expl.II not so difficult. Just .7mm difference...
