Should I get a new dial?

Hi. I'm a new member from the UK. I have a GMT Master II which is over 12 years old. I am going to get it serviced. The GMT has a pepsi dial which has faded slightly (the red section). My question is, should I have it replaced with a new dial?

I think you mean the bezel - the aluminum ring that surrounds the dial.

I have a Z - serial Pepsi; the bezel is still fairly deep in color. However, when I get it serviced, I am going to request a new Rolex Pepsi bezel, and ask for the old one back. You can do the same. If you're handy, you can purchase a new bezel from a trusted seller here, and change it yourself before the service; it's not hard.

I don't think you should. I love the faded look.
If you do end up getting a new one, try to keep the old faded bezel too

Some people place a lot of importance on the "badge of honour" type evidence of wear and tear that you get on any product with use.
They even enjoy (so they say) their own wrinkles and scars as the outward evidence of their life and experiences.
I am not one of these and would keep all my possessions in mint condition if it were possible. (that includes me!)
I like to see my watches they way they were at purchase.

I think I am a mint condition man. I really wanted to know if changing the bezel (thanks alanc) was a cardinal sin. I must add that I love the watch and wear it ever day, much to the chagrin of my Tag Twin Time.

If you must have a new bezel insert, buy one online (they pop up from time to time) and keep the original insert.

You can also get a different color if you prefer pepsi, coke or whatever and swap back and forth.

I'd send it in without the bezel and keep the old bezel. RSC will replace it with new one.

On the new vs. faded - I think it depends on when you wear the watch. A faded Pepsi is a great weekend watch; a pristine Pepsi looks great with a suit. Maybe one of each....
