Hi, I'm new to RF and have a question about NATO straps. On Broadarrow, there are two styles I'm interested in: NATO Four Ring and NATO Mil Series. Does anyone know if there are dimensional differences between the two, especially in regards to thickness? I actually prefer the looks of the Mil Series, but want to make sure it'll fit my Sub. I've read that other similar straps such as Zulu are too thick and difficult to thread through the spring bars. The website says the Mil Series is an upgraded version and I'd like to make sure it's the same thickness as the standard NATO. Any feedback would be appreciated!

In my experience, the 4-ring and any labeled as "Zulu" are thicker than the rest. This thickness can cause difficulty is putting on the strap.

Rather than fitting the springbars and then fishing the strap through, I've been more successful at placing the head of the watch where I want it and then fitting the springbars over the strap.

It can still be a bit tough to do. As a result, I rarely use the 4-ring or Zulus anymore.

The Zulu NATOs are definitely super thick. They do fit through the spring bars with some force, but barely. The solution is to get the two-piece version, which is also better because it won't scratch your case-back.

I'm specifically interested to know if there's a thickness difference between the Four Ring NATO and the Mil Series NATO. The latter looks much better, but since it's "Mil Series", I was afraid it may be too thick.

Get the basic Maratac NATO, it has thinner fabric & works w/ Rolex & Tudor watches.

Mil-series is thinner than the Zulu or 4-ring.

Basically Broadarrow has two different thicknesses. Anything that says "Zulu" or has those 4-rings is thick. Everything else is thin.

Mil is as thin as the NATO and will fit the Sub without issues. The Zulu on the other hand is thicker. You have to take the springbars off to install most Zulu-type bands.
