Icon7 Bubble to magnify the date

What do u guys think of the protruding bubble that uses to magnify the date on rolex watches?

Why didn't the bubble design be changed to flush with the sapphire surface?

Why do all Ferraris imported to the US come with GoodYear tires?

Because Mr. Ferrari wants it that way.......................................same thing with Rolex.

I didn't like it at first. Then it grew on me.

It's kind of cool watching the second hand get magnified as it sweeps past.

It does also make the date much easier to read when looking at the watch at the correct angle.

With the heritage of the Rolex cyclops, I think changing its design would be akin to some sort of cataclysmic paradigm shift in the forces of the universe.

Have you seen the watches designed with cyclops on the underside of the watch? I'm not a fan of the look. The only other design I like is AP where the cyclops is built into the dial.

Want to say that that old commercial is before my time. But don't want to be a wise guy.

No problem, just shows you haven't been around long enough.

Its the reason I brought my Rolex. A few decades strong, and likely will never ever change.

I didn't like the cyclops at all in the beginning. I seriously looked into having it removed. But over time it grew on me and now I kind of like it.

It's one of thier trademark features

...and other watch brands need something to copy...ha ha

I'm 50/50 with the cyclops. I don't hate it, I don't love it.
But I do love my 2 daily wearer's = 1 with and 1 w/o

Actually, that benefit only lasts a limited time, then the date become just another illegible part of your watch face.

Thank God for shiny hands or I'd be out of luck without my glasses.
