War of the Roses
Hey Guys,
I'm trying to decide on which watch I should keep for my self. I have had the Cartier for sale on here, but every time I look at it I like it more and more. The Rolex on the other hand is also one of my favorites. Which one would you keep? |

Daytona, hands down....the other watch is, IMHO, rather odd looking.

I think the Cartier is beautiful but I prefer the Daytona myself.

The Cartier is a great looking watch, but I voted Daytona.

I know this is a Rolex forum and God knows, I only own and wear Rolex, but that Cartier really sings to me. Don't think I have ever seen this model before.

I have seen them in the wild and have handled them in the Cartier store. Large, nice and heavy. Easy to read. That particular Daytona was nearly impossible for me to read and the chrono is about useless. Plus it's on a strap. That Cartier is much more desirable to me. I wonder how many who voted have handled these watches?

I've only seen the Rolex and touched in, not the other one. I'm curious, what does your comment here mean in relation to those voting in the poll? Are you implying that their opinions and votes are worth less consideration, or are you implying they aren't worthy to vote based on the in-person criteria? I'm sure you don't mean anything bad or mean by it, but what do you mean? I can't speak for the OPer but I think an opinion based on foundations besides in-person tactile and visual inspection may still be of some worth to the OPer... I voted keep the Rolex. |

Tough decision, but I think I'd go with the Daytona. I like the concept of the calibre but never felt wowed by it...

You're on a Rolex site, what did you expect? Even the Cartier forum would say the Daytona looks better.
