I was sent this listing for a review by another member here on TRF. We had a nice discussion about it today.

Check it out and let's here your opinions below. If you think it is fake, state what it is. If it is genuine, state your case for

Stan, I sent in a report this afternoon after talking with you. Before starting this thread, I hadn't noticed that it was already being discussed here on the forum. Here is one for me -

i believe it's is fake, note they have corrected the lug long E's, watchout guys

The overall condition of the case with sharp edges with no marks between the lugs ( yes,it could have been on a nato / leather all of it's life ) and case back without any service annotations are not in keeping with it's age and the dial that obviously has seen a lot of daylight .
37XXXXX serial rules out a service case .
No pictures of the movement were ever shown
I saw posts where people mentioned long E's , unless they were indeed corrected , I do not see long E's .
I guess determining authenticity based on a couple of pictures has it's limits .
Personally if I had been in the market for that watch I would have requested tons of additional pictures from the seller before pressing the "bid" button .
Let's hope all works out well for the buyer .

3.7m serial number looks a bit high for a meters first red sub? I thought 2.5m was about the limit.
