Buy the seller. Once you find out what you want contact one of the sellers here found in the who's who section.
I personally would not buy a Rolex off eBay from Japan.

I'd have to agree. That's a lot of money to spend in hopes that what you see in the pictures is what you get in the mail. Then there's customs to worry about if you're having it sent to the states.

I'd stick to a trusted seller on the forum or a reputable pre-owned Rolex dealer here in the states before I'd send that kind of money off thousands of miles away. Too risky for my blood.

You're going to have it shipped from Japan and risk it being confiscated by customs?

Why cross the river for water?

Not worth the risk. Not to mention customs which will charge an import fee (if it even makes it here).

In the long run you don't save anything...BUT...you have a whole lot you could lose.

Buy from one of the trusted seller here!

Wow, that "claim" is definitely "off the charts"!

I wonder if they meant to say seconds...if not, it definitely needs a service!

I was going to ask if anyone knows how much are the taxes to pay if you buy a watch on the outside or at least exactly where I have to go to ask but now I see that a friend of the forum MonBK said that they will seize me. Someone from the forum or MpnBK can explain or expand on this?
Thanks guys.

You can wear one watch (Rolex) when entering the US but it is illegal to have one (Rolex) shipped to you.

I bought my 14060m off of ebay. It was used and it came from a seller in the states. Paid $3550 with box and papers. I immediately brought it to my AD to verify the serial matched the papers and everything was in order.

My point is, if you let this one pass you're bound to find another good deal.

Well, this is a good price for a 14060, but there are too many out there to risk all the possible headaches. Sure, you'd probably be saving some money, but is it worth it? FYI, I have bought from and sold Rolexes to people in Japan and have never had any issues. I think it comes down to how you list the package on customs forms, and luck.
