Finally found it....INCOMING!
I've been on the hunt for a birth-year Rolex for some time now and finally came across the one. This watch is so close to mint it looks like NOS. Lugs look incredible, very sharp without a scratch anywhere. Acrylic crystal is flawless. Dial is also perfect, no discoloration. Jubilee is perfectly tight and literally looks unworn. Coronet on clasp has not been polished down at all. The watch even still has the original sticker on the caseback. And papers to match
My new 8.2mil 16030 circa late 1983...we'll both be turning 30 this year |

Your pictures bring back good memories for me. Your watch is identical to my first Rolex - bought late in '83 in Geneva for $835 US. My brother brought it home from a business trip. THE classic SS Datejust for decades. Enjoy! It's a beautiful watch.

Congratulations.
I am looking for a birthyear watch as well. Unfortunately I have to go back a little further than 83... |
