The Harlem Shake

I'm sure many of you have seen some of the thousands of uploaded homemade harlem shake videos by now. I hadn't even heard of it as of Friday but saw a few on the news and thought it was pretty funny.

I got some of the sales guys on board with me and we made one yesterday!

Prior to last Friday I had no clue either. Saw it on the news and then got ropped into watching dozens on Friday. Got my boss and his boss on board to do it during lunch on Monday.

Go to youtube and search "Harlem shake best of" and you'll see a nice chunk of good ones.

Just a funny, stupid 30 second video. It was a lot of fun to make.

Checked out the video and thought I was having an acid flashback for a second...1st time hearing of the Harlem Shake and didn't know what in the world was happening. Thanks for sharing, though. Funny way to start my day!

Some Dudes in Egypt did it in their underwear and got a beat down for it. Wish I had a link.

Found it. The earlier article I read said the crown beat them. They were arrested by the police as well.

Some funny ones out there.. firefighters, on an airplane, under water, a news station / tv broadcast amongst others. I think estimates out there of 40 - 50 thousand uploaded videos... +1 including yours

I don't really get it either. I guess these videos are somewhat entertaining. I have read these videos have gotten some in trouble. I have hears some football players and another team of hockey players have been suspended for making these videos.

I don't really see the hilarity in it, either. But then again, I laugh at things nobody else thinks is particularly funny.

Some kids in a local HS here did that in the cafeteria with the school's permission. They were summarily suspended and not able to play in a hockey game. They lost the game and lost a chance to go on in the State competition.

There doesn't seem to be a particular thing to it just people doing random movements. Is being random the focus?

Let me see if I am with the time, there was that planking thing then everyone abandoned that and went to making videos to that call me song then the Korean dance move where a guy died from acute heart failure after doing it at a company Christmas function and now this is the latest IN thing :what::D
