1967 Corvette with 2996 miles

That's really cool, Bill. Believe it or not there is a '59 vette with less than 100miles on it
around here. I have seen it. I forget the exact milage but it was less than 100. The owner owns a chain of auto dealerships.

I knew a couple of people that owned one.

Both were convertables and they had the hard top too.

I thought that was so cool. Convertable with the hardtop option.

This was my dream car as a little guy. A cousin of mine had this same car in black. Nearly every day I would walk passed that car and brag to my buddies that it was owned by someone in my family!

It's amazing the cars that are out there. I traveled with my job and know where there are:
(1)A 1978 Indy 500 Pace Car Corvette with less than 50 miles.
(2)A 1970 Chevelle SS convertible with LS-6 motor and less than 100 miles.
(3)Two pretty nice 1958 dual quad Corvettes in a barn sitting next to a Smokey and the Bandit Trans Am.
None of them are for sale.

All those low miles cars sound good but how are they internally/mechanically?
I prefer old cars with good miles and a good service record.
I have see 1000's of old cars over the years that looked as new but were mechanically rooted and as many that looked like wrecks but were mechallically A1. The difficulty is finding one that is perfect in both areas.

This one was at the Clipsal 500 last week.
Fully restored.
Not enough money in Oz to buy it.

We can give it a shot . . .

A friend of mine does it about 10 times a year . . . .

He buys the Mitsubishi Evolutions (I think it's the X model now) directly at the factory in Japan.

And when they arrive, strips them completely, adds a roll cage and moves all controls to the left . . . quite a job . . .

Now I just wonder if the same car LHD has a higher value than a RHD . . . ?

RHD would have less out there, but it would depend on demand as well I would imagine.

Oh, please tell him to not add a roll cage on this car though.

Great car and a great find. I just got finished rebuilding a 67 small block with my future father in law. Needless to say it was one hell of a bonding experience. He had been working on it for 3 years before I came around and when we finally finished it I was the first one to turn that engine over and here how she sounds.

Its one hell of a car and every time that thing turns on I get goose bumps the side exhaust is the way to go =)

That split rear window was available only in 1963 and people took then out and put in one piece rear windows to make their car look like a 64. So sad to see one in that condition.
