I catch it often. I enjoy the buying and selling process.
He gets some unusual cars.

They were doing a marathon the other day and caught it for the first time. Pretty cool cars they "find".

I'd never heard of it but now I've set the DVR to record the series.
Thanks for the tip.

Completely new perspective for a car show.

Very nice guy in person too!

Love it . . . the only thing that surprises me each time . . . over and over again . . . when did you see Wayne make some money on a car he is selling for a customer . . .

I only see people losing loads of $$$$$$ . . . .. :-(

The owner with the Shelby Mustang . . . lost over 100K on the car . . .

Probably it is the market and how old are the episodes . . .

Just my .02

I am amazed at the same thing...you'd think his show would highlight his best efforts so it is particularly interesting that so many miss their reserve or go for less than auction estimates.

If he was selling Rolexes at those losses I would be a buyer!!!

I enjoy the show. Wayne has some amazing connections! A pleasure to watch someone who appreciates the cars as much as he does.

I've never known someone to successfuly "invest" in
Cars... I do know successful car dealers and sales people.
I'm pretty sure Wayne pays himself and staff a salary,
But can't imagine there is a ton of juice past that.

I know several.

They key is to buy rare, smart, and as original as possible. Not for the faint of heart.

I've done a little buying and selling. There is money in it if you have the type of connectons that Wayne Carini does.

I've been watching it on Discovery showcase. The show is nice and Wayne Carini seems like a nice guy too!

I like "Wheeler Dealers" more. Wayne is a tad snooty. And he isn't losing money any more than the poor Amish Mafia are.
