Tudor Sub 7928... i need the heavy hitters to check this case

Check out this watch:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-TUDO...item33809b9f00

good dial and hands. but a 7928 with snowflake dial?

the movement is incorrect or has a rotor that is aftermarket. check out this interesting case. its unlike any repro i have ever seen. has the good E. the crown also looks wrong.

what do you guys think?? i say all new but dial and hands and maybe insert.

2483 movement .....

Hi Harry,

I'm just a small hitter but yes - an ETA 2483 movement has no place in a 7928.

And is that an unfamiliar spacer ring around the movement too ?

And II/1960 is squarely in PCG territory for 7928's too .

Fake or supremely franken at best I say

Case looks very suspect...Crownguards are way too thick. That it doen't have the long E just means this faker is familiar with some of the more obvious tells. I wouldn't touch this with a bargepole tied to the end of a bargepole...

I wouldn't touch it at that price if it was all real and I'm not sure it is. The dial and hands look great and belong to that movement which is for a 7016. So at minimum it is a mix of parts. Not sure I like the engravings. Not sure I like the fat case.

Looks like a bunch of parts

Better 7928s for that price

the case is fake imho, i have been saying this a while in watchout section the long E's are a tell of the past, some are still floating around but the fakers have corrected that mostly, sometimes they have not corrected the A. But the crown guards and crown guard angles are the biggest tell. Also not lug wear ?

A Tudor from 1970 out of Romania: I'd pass. Period.
