Difference between 580 and 501B end links
Since I have a small wrist, I'm thinking of using 580 end links on my 93150 bracelet. Appreciate your inputs :). Photos will be of great help :)
Thanks |

You will achieve a better fit (the lower of your drawing) if you go with the 580 end piece.

501B is the newer end piece which accommodates a newer 93150 bracelet with a wedge shaped center link. The 580 end piece is normally found on 93150 bracelet with a round shaped center link. The first TWO pictures show the newer 93150 bracelet with the wedge center link, while the THIRD or last picture shows the older 93150 bracelet with round center link.

Thanks for the replies. So a quick fix will be to use 580 end links on 93150 bracelet? I have the later 93150 (wedge-shaped center link) version and wishes to achieve a more flushed fit
thanks |

Oopss.....sorry, in order for you to achieve a better fit, it would be better for you to go with an older "round" center link 93150 bracelet. I've tried both 501B and 580 end pieces and they both work with the older "round center link" 93150 bracelet.

Thanks. does that mean fitting 580 end links will have the same result as having 501B end links on the newer 93150?
Thanks |

Remember the newer 93150 bracelet has the "wedge" shaped center link, and it is "notched" as well, see my picture below. The notch keeps the center link sticks out and prevents it to collapse or drop in a normal manner and follows the shape of your wrist.

The "end-link" has nothing to do with the way it fits on your wrist; it is just a filler piece.

I seem to be having the same issue as powerband. I have a 1016 r serial from 1988.
I bought a new 78360 with 580 end links. The original bracelet has the same codes but the last link is round on the original and wedged on the new one. The new one does not seem to line up with the holes on my case. Any ideas? I thought a 78360 with 580s would fit seeing how that what my old set up was. The only difference I can see btw these bracelets in the last link. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Please note that 580 endlinks and 501b endlinks are shaped differently to fit minute difference in cases.
A simple rule of thumb. If your Sub is 5 digit reference, 501b will be the better fit. 580 endlinks are for vintage or 4 digit references only. Wedges or thin slice has nothing to do with endlinks fitting Cheers |
