Hello all. I need to send a Rolex watch valued at £4000 from UK to Hong Kong immediately/asap and wondered if any of you knew of a reputable UK based courier who ships watches with insurance to this value. Your replies will be greatly appreciated and I thank you in advance.

Thanks but Parcel Force will only insure up to £2500 and Fedex will only insure watches up to $500US. Anyone else know a reputable UK company who can fully insure a watch for £4000 and deliver to HK?

Sounds like a job for Fedex - its your compensation amount that your problem......
Its going to cost you though.

Perhaps it maybe cheaper - I've done this myself from one of my Chinese work suppliers - Getting the reciepiant to get Fedex to 'collect' rather than you 'sending' - rates are a lot cheaper into the U.K than U.K out.

I wouldn't use Fedex.... I know here in the US the safest way to mail stuff like that, is thru the regular post, but registered and insured. Is that an option you have in the UK?

Have you looked into third party 'Cargo Insurance' I don't know if it would be of any use to you - but exploring the option of Insuring the contents seperatey through a third party maybe an option

Thanks guys and gorgeous Mireyna. The buyer in HK wants me to send it with Fedex who he rates very highly and in the unlikely event that it gets lost, damaged or stolen he will not hold me responsible. Thanks again for your replies.
