Bell and Ross choice; your help.

It looks as though I may--emphasize may--be getting a late Christmas prezzie in the form of a choice of a Bell and Ross watch.

I've been trying to read up on them, not much on the 'net beyond sales offers. Wiki has some info, as do the usual wristwatch guide annuals and the vague "I heard there were problems, no they're great..." unsubstantiated stuff.

If I get to chose, I rather like the BR-02, not too big and wonky. The Type Demineur and the Aviator style are also cool, as is the vintage chronograph with the two sub-dials.

Any real world experience or knowledge of the brand? Any views as to choice of models? Always value an opinion.

An no, I cannot parlay the gift into a Rolex or other brand, before you ask............

I just got a Hydromax two weeks ago. So far so good. The Type Marine and Type Dimeneur are the same case size as the Hydromax, only with a solid case back (Hydro has this expanding rubber diaphram thingy). I like the hands on the Type D.

I have a friend with the Type D and he loves it. I got the Hydro because that's what my local AD had, and I tried it on and it fit well and comes with a nifty Pelican case and extra bands and tools.

The Vintage 123 is great looking also.

That stainless instrument piece on the weathered-looking brown leather band is outstanding!

I wonder how rugged this line is. Certainly good for me and my ageing eyes.......

How's the fit and finish for the $$?
