Glide lock greatest thing since sliced butter!

Aloha all,
Just had to say the Rolex glide lock clasp to me is the greatest thing since sliced butter. Not sure how your wrist is throughout the day, however mine will seem to fluctuate in size during the day. Having the easy to use glide lock I can either increase it or shrink the bracelet in no time at all and it fits perfect! I wish the glide lock was used on all of the oyster bracelets.
Aloha from Kauai.

On a serious note, I agree that the glide lock is wonderful. I adjust mine on my wg sub at least once or twice a day, especially in the summer going in and out of ac.

I love my SubC with the Glidelock. I don't often adjust it, but when I do, it's a piece of cake!

I'm a great fan of the functionality of the Glidelock.

My only criticism would be that it makes the length of the clasp quite substantial.

I agree - should be standard (or at least optional) on all sport models

.........until you experience the bracelet on the Tudor Pelagos - hands free continuous adjustment. Surely Rolex will us this sytem on other watches to pay for the investment in developing it?

I'm not sure a lot of people will like using it since they don't dive. I haven't used it myself though.

I use the pinky finger rule when sizing my bracelet, so there's some slack when it comes to tightness.
Would the continuous adjustment always be adjusted a "no finger" gap?

I dive very infrequently, but I wear the Pelagos a lot, and I leave it on the continuously variable setting all the time. The power of the spring seems to be just right to achieve a constant fitted but relaxed feel on the wrist no matter how much your wrist expands or contracts. I've had a SubC, and the glidelock system is a huge step forward over the previous adjustment mechanism, but I would suggest the Pelagos system moves the game on again.

FYI Slice bred is only compatible sliced butter, if you have used anything else in the past you created a lot of incompatibility for your taste buds!

Never heard of sliced butter, even during my visit to beautiful Kauaii, but the glidelock is a marvelous piece of engineering. I often adjust for a better fit during the day. Clever system indeed !

With my DD and 14060 I just wear it a little loose when my wrist is normal size. When it gets hot or I work out it just gets a little tighter, no big deal to me. I think glidelock is hyped little and do not like at all the hugh clasp !

I completley agree about the Glidelock. With such a perfect watch...I want the perfect fit...which is a bit of trial and error in the beginning. I've had my new Sub for a week now and am just getting the perfect fit dialed in. I don't adjust mine during the day. When my wrist is 'expanded'...the fit is very slightly tight...'contracted'...the fit is very slightly loose. I imagine I'll make an adjustment when Winter comes around again.

I agree the Glidelock is amazing. I don't adjust mine at all in day to day wearing as I only use it for a diver's extension, but it is fun to mess around with every once in a while. I like to set my bracelet and forget it.

Wish Rolex would adapt the GL for use on the Super Jubilee. That would be great.
Now, if you'll excuse me I have some butter to slice. :)

Glide-lock was developed so we would buy a watch from an AD, instead of using the pre-loved market. That, of course, is for those who are not willing to wait for more GL braceleted watches to and at DavidsW and other trusted sellers.

I used to use my ezlink often. Now I almost never use it. I agree with you opinion of the glidelock,

I think the glidelock type clasp should be mandatory on all luxury sports watches over say £4K, as should AR, but Ive actually hardly ever adjusted it, guess my wrists dont change size much.

I HATE buying watches with a solid bracelet. Maybe I'm just weird but my wrist swells up like crazy every day.

Walk around for an hour shopping? Swinging my arm around seems to make all the blood rush to my wrist.

Hot day at the ballpark? Forget it!

Eat a ham sandwich? Within 10 minutes my watch looks like the bracelet will explode and fly across the room.

Seriously though, an adjustable bracelet is a must have in my world. If its not offered then normally I will opt for a strap. That's a shame because of some of the nicer bracelets out there.
