Price of Zenith daytona?
Want to ask if anyone knows the price for stainless Zenith daytona without box and papers? I was recently offer to purchase a stainless zenith daytona without box and paper at a price of US$9517. Is it a good deal?

If its a genuine Zenith Daytona its a real good price even without box papers etc.And IMHO the Zenith Daytona will continue to rise in price. Its quite ironic that some of the most expensive Daytona vintage Rolex, don't even have a Rolex in house made movement.

It is a steal at that price provided it is real and in reasonable condition.
What year is it, which mk dial?

Well, price seems good, but it also depends on the condition of the watch.
Is it an SS Daytona? And what series is it? Can you get the watch authenticated by an AD - BEFORE paying for the watch?? Here's a chart that can give you an idea of what you have and its rarity: Also, there is a good article on the various "Mark I" etc. dials here: Click!

Does your chart cover all gold model? A watch dealer friend of mine just show me his inverted 6 on his yellow gold with leather strap Daytona. What the value of that watch? He also promise to find me an A series 2000 Daytona SS for $9000 after New Year. I have a second though of what would be the best choice between the two. I can affort only one. Thanks |

It has the "Inverted 6" (see subsidiary dial at six o' clock), so it would be from the 1991 (late) to 1993 (early) period due to the polished centre links
Rare, but not "very rare", according to the chart.

Yes, and especially if the Daytona pictured is the one you are considering buying. Looks like it's in very good condition, but still you ought to know more about its INNER condition, as well (i.e.: when it's been serviced).

Bo,
You still did not answer my earlier question whether your chart reflect all gold model. What would be better investment between 2000 A series SS and all gold inverted 6 with leather strap? Thanks Alex |

Sorry, didn't notice your question. Anyway, the chart is for the SS Daytona 16520ies only. And the SS Daytona would certainly be the better investment of the two.

I also came across something like this. I know a guy that wants to sell his SS zenith daytona that is early 90's in white dial and is asking 10k. In good condition. I just met with me and hes legit. ITs the model that doesnt have the flip lock on the clasp. Is this worth it too?

A 16520 in near mint and service papers (worthwhile investment for you) is worth $12,000 all day long.

Today I went to the shop, wanted to buy that zenith daytona but someone is earlier than me and it's sold now.
