Mont Blanc RB dries up with cap on to easily.

Do you have a trick to take a dried up mont blanc rollerball refill and bring it back to life? I have too many pens and can't use them all fast enough. They tend to dry up even with the cap on.

My suggestions are to do a search(Sorry...I do not remember what has been written before) here as there are refills from other companies that will fit in MontBlanc's Rollerball pens and work and last longer. Also use only one MontBlanc refill at a time in one or two pens and leave the others empty. This should help and for refills not being used...save the original cap from the manufacturer and leave them on the refills(until you need to use them).....as I have had mine last a long time by doing this!!!

Take it easy.....Leo

In addition, I also put the extra refills in a baggy to keep the air out. Do you post? I was told at the MB Boutique that it stretches the seal and might let air in, which would dry out the refill.

I never tried it in a Mont Blanc, but I love Cartier ink. It writes just as smooth and lasts significantly longer.

This is where when you take the cap off of a fountain pen or rollerball you place the cap onto the bottom of the barrel portion of the pen...

I do that every time I take the cap off to write and re-thread the cap back on when I'm done. Otherwise the ink dries out and even worse I can rest my elbow near where I placed the pen on my desk.
