What Series of EXP II with Lug Holes?
Happy New Year All!
As the title reads, in terms of series, from when to when did the EXP II came with lug holes on case? I read some searched posts that SEL only comes equiped with non-lug case; is it possible to find a series with lug holes and SEL EXP II? Last question, are there any difference in packaging and contents between newer and older EXP II series? Thanks y'all! |

Yes, it's still possible to find many sports Rolex (including Exp-II) with lug holes on the sides AND with SEL links. Look out for a K-series Exp-II. That would definitely give you the lug holes as well as the SEL links. Good luck - JJ

However, I did own a GMT-II K-series which had the SELs as well as lug-holes on the sides. A K-series would be your best bet!! JJ

You may have them on an early Y series (2003) as well. My Y GMTII has lug holes.

My AD has one if you're interested. Even though I should hold on to it because I want it too, but anything for the team.
cheers W

Thanks for the offer Wael. I remembered reading from another thread that you recently purchased the Exp II, what is your series? And is the one at your ad a K series? Thanks.

Mine is a F series, no holes. The only issue with the one with SEL & holes was the AD lost the certificate! Its brand new though.
cheers W

Here is my A serie from 2000.
It has non-Sel ( last year I think ) and of course lug holes. Cheers / Pierre |

What series and year did the white dial explorer II first appear. I would like to get a vintage watch. I believe it was the 16550, with the cream dial, but that may be too expensive, so I may have to go for the first year of 16570.
