Like most people who work in an office I am using a keyboard most of the day, how do you guys keep your clasps from getting destroyed from typing all day? I almost want to put a aftermarket strap on my watch just to use for wearing to work.

any ideas?

Wear long sleeve shirts so the watch hides inside while typing

It happens. No worries. You can have it cleaned up when it's time to hit the spa.

Have to agree scratches are just a fact of wearing any watch,but easily rectified at normal service time only to get scratched again.So all these tiny scratches are best left to only every 5-7 year routine services what's not good for any Rolex is wanting to Polish every time you see a scratch.

I know exactly what you mean...my laptop will destroy my clasp if I wear it when typing. I can't wear my Sub at work...which is where I do a lot of laptop work...so it's really not a problem.

I can tell you that there will be a ton of "don't worry about it...it's gonna get scratched eventually..." comments. But for me...I will take reasonable steps to prevent scratches...maybe a rag or tape on the keyboard...but beyond that...if it gets a scratch...so be it. Worst case...the scratches can be polished out.

LOL...I told you...just in the time I was typing my response...there is already a "no worries" response...

My MacBook Pro has an aluminum case. Plenty of scratches on my Glidelock clasp from the laptop. It's all good though, I don't worry about small details like that!

Not that I care about scratches, but I've been been using this laptop stand for my own comfort, for the past few years which raises my clasp above the desk so it never gets scratched. It's just a bonus that it keeps my clasp above the desk.

You can use a Cape Cod cloth on the shiny metal parts or a scotch-brite on the matte finished parts.

I cut a small piece of neoprene mouse pad to place where my wrist falls.

Good advice, I think i'll just throw it on a nato strap for work/gym/lake duty

Use the bracelet for more formal events!

One coat of acrylic nail polish keeps the clasp pristine. I use it on my large pcl clasps like GMTc and tt sub.

I cut the toes out of a pair of tube sox and wear it over my wrist/Rolex when I am doing ALOT of typing.
