Sub Clasp Mod -- Removal of Diver Extension

I have a 93150 bracelet on my U-serial 14060 Sub.

I want to remove my diver extension...but the links of the bracelet won't connect to the clasp without it.

I know I read here before (have searched to no avail) that I'd need a link from a GMT bracelet in order to make the direct connection to the flip-lock clasp.

Anyone know the part/name of the type of "GMT link" I'd need to make this happen?

Thanks!

Also, how to remove the small link on 6 o'clock side?

I also wondering how do I remove the small link on the flip lock side (I'm afraid to pry out the pin as I don't know how it goes back togeter. I'd like to connect my Everest band directly to clasp and not that small link to center clasp on wrist. Bracelet is 93160 but very similar.

^^ My understanding is that you can't remove that last partial link. I would love to be wrong though, since I can't fit the old style bracelets without removing a permanent link.

If you pry it out you will need to replace it. Its a pin that's riveted on both ends. Replacement pins will have a rivet on one end and after they are installed into the clasp you or someone else will need to fashion the other end into a rivet.

You can remove the link. It's attached to the bracelet via a screw...and it's attached to the clasp via a springbar.

Just push the spring bar and it pops out from the clasp. A few turns of a screw driver and it's off!

Now I just need to know what link I need to replace it!

My last link is attaced with a pin, not a spring bar.... I really wish it was a spring bar!

There's no link on my GMT2 that would allow me to affix the clasp directly to a permanent link. Maybe I'm not following what you guys are trying to do. Also, there's no spring bar on my clasp - it's more like a rivet.

Is yours a Ceramic? If that's the case, then you have a glidelock and it's a completely different style bracelet/clasp.

Check out the picture in my previous post to show what I'm talking about...

Mine's the old style. I'll pull it out of the safe tonight and take a look but the Rolex tech in San Francisco told me that you can't remove that little partial link. I think the more direct attachment method of the newer clasps is one of their benefits.

Interesting. The one in the pic I posted can clearly be removed. There's obviously a screw hole on the link...and then the clasp has the adjustment holes...so it can obviously be moved/removed from the clasp side too.

I just don't know the part number for that link or where to fine one!

GMT2s don't have a GlideLock clasp.

Thanks.

I don't pay any attention to any of the newfangled Rolex watches.

All you need is the connector link from a non flip lock clasp and replace it with the extension link from the Fliplock claps.... Basically get the last link from the 12 o'clock side of a 78360 and replace the 93150 last link and that's it... Fits like a glove.

Indeed!

I was trying to figure out if it had a name or part number...since there always seems to be a ton of confusion about the topic.
