No few hours because Basel will open its doors to specialised watch press on April 24.

Ciao

The show starts on the 25th but the Rolex website says they are "unveiling April 24th" which is tomorrow. For some reason I am really looking forward to it despite the fact I'm 99% sure, nothing that interests me is gonna come up. A 42mm Daytona would be a nice size but it will still fall to the Daytona hype in the UK which will lead to it costing a premium.

42mm Daytona is interesting but platinum ? It's gonna cost a fortune.

NO WAY!!!

42mm would be just right!!!!

Daytona needs to grow a bit... feels small these days compared to my other Rolex models...

Well at least we all think there will be a new Daytona!

I think 40mm SS, ceramic bezel, green or red detail on dial/chrono hand

Wouldn't it be a Daytona II or something, as opposed to a Daytona anniversary model since the Daytona has never been made in 42mm?

So if this is indeed the Daytona anniversary model, would that mean that 40mm Daytonas would be discontinued?

I would highly advise against that however keeping the Daytona I if another model comes out is ideal. I can see it being like the YM2 as it not available in SS (yet?)

I really don't want to see a maxi Daytona. I love it how it is.

Rolex put the Daytona on the Cosmograph dial around 1963 in the USA only when it began sponsorship of the race. The Cosmograph was 50 years old in 2010. Not saying they won't plan something special this year, but.....just saying.

Very interesting.....I don't know what that says about the recent 40mm ceramic Daytonas, but, a 42mm platinum Daytona sure would be something.

Just a tiny bit more exciting than an SS YMII.

Under 35 hours to know.

I would be pretty disappointed if they decided to do the "three years to SS" cycle with this. I was thinking it should be SS now with the recently updated Daytona with ceramic bezel based on this established convention...

However, the 45mm Speedy that was just teased by Omega might lend credence to the upward sizing...

Teaser is up on Rolex.com, so it's definitely platinum, white gold or SS.

Me too, although in steel as I would never be able to afford a Platinum one.
