I am going to look at this watch at a jewelery store that has a Rolex watchmaker on staff. I wanted to know if anyone has comments concerning whether or not this is an authentic Rolex Air King (1989). Thanks for your help. I am a novice. The scuff looking thing on the bracelet link is residue from a sticker.

It's real... And about 25 years old.

Looks fine to me. 1989 was the last year for the 5500.
