How do you decide what to wear ?.
Those of you with a few watches, how do you decide which to wear?.
Is it to match your clothes or the occasion ?. I have a nice Tag, Omega Seamaster & my GMT2C. Since I got my GMT last November, neither of the others have had wrist time. Not sure I could choose which to wear if I had all my grails.

I wear 1 watch per week and on Sunday I choose a different one. I never dress up or down really so no worries to match something. This keeps a nice rotation.

Well, I gotta get over my Sub love and strap my Pepsi on (haven't worn it besides a few wrist pics for TRF).

I work pretty much the same way unless there is some special occasion mixed in during the week which may require a specific watch to match my attire.

I do have several wristwatches too.
I match them with my clothes, but I also see what to wear in certain occasions. At work I can't wear my rolexes or any other watch that would be recognized, as my bosses are a "bit" jealous. So at work I mostly wear my Omega Seamaster or Ebel Sportwave Chrono... Nice watches but not high end ones. |

I pick what watch I want to wear that day and then I build my wardrobe around it.
Isn't that what everyone does? |

What looks good to me at the time. I usually stick with a watch for a week. If I am going to an event I may go with something that flies under the radar.

I usually wear for anything between 3 and 7 days, or sometimes swap each day, no pattern and not enough dress sense to think about co-ordinating!

Same here... I rotate every 1-3 weeks and am rather irregular about the ones I get out and the once sitting in there. My Seamaster is probably out most. It's nice and no one but me cares for it, so no unwanted attention. I see the watch as its own thing and generally don't try to match them to my cloths.

Whatever I feel like wearing I wear. I try to get each one on the wrist and alternate frequently.

If I'm going out someplace that may dictate a certain type of wardrobe I may put some thought into the proper watch. Some watches are much more flexible than others.
going on a cruise to Alaska in a couple of weeks and I will take a TT GMT for evenings but wear my Electric Blue Seamaster for the day... Usually it is at a whim and I rotate through those that have not seen much wrist time in a while... A dozen get regular rotation while another dozen see only a few days at a time and another dozen see almost no time and fall in the "collection" only category..

Usually try to match for the occasion. I don't have a big collection, but do have watches for dress, business casual and play. That makes it easy.

Sometimes I match my entire outfit just to fit with the watch I've decided to wear that day

when it says April 31st for the date I know it's time to rotate if the end/start of month date is wrong - too lazy to reset so grab another

I wear my SS SubC mostly during the week for work. Also for weekends where ill be out of town on mountain bike events with the boys.
I usually reserve my TT blue sub for nice sunny days, weekends and holidays where I can really enjoy the beautiful blue dial! My SS Daytona gets minimal wrist time as I usually reserve it for when I'm a bit dressed up for a night out with the bride in a dressy casual mode. |
