Considering the existing pricing for both models, the TT YM-II commands a 1.49x factor over TT Daytona; 1.26x in YG; 1.29x in WG or RG. So the SS YM-II would appear to fetch 1.38x over the SS Daytona - precisely the avg. of the other hi/lo factors. And who says the Swiss aren't precise?

I'm curious, given the time lag before new models appear, what if there's a price increase before the SS YMII starts showing up? I understand the need to state a price, but it would seem there's a good chance that the price is already going to be higher before anyone sees it.

Catalog said 12650 euro excluding VAT I believe. Approximately $1.32 to 1 euro. This equates to around $16,600 USD.

About what I expected from Rolex. For that price I can acquire an AP ROO from a trusted seller on TRF.

ok dont shoot me for saying this guys but.....
if the new SS YM 2 is around 18k why is that considered too much? my guess is that this watch is of the same class or competes against something like and AP ROO. The ROO retails for 24k in SS and no one seems to complain. Yes I know its an AP but still its a SS chrono with a date. the 10 minute Regatta timer on the YM2 is cooler than a date in my opinion. |

It is a very cool watch, it is not inexpensive however so I see both sides.
