What happens when....

What happens when you send (unknowingly) a fake Rolex for service?

I think strictly speaking they are allowed to destroy the watch because of copyright infringements.

Well I think it depends...

... when I sent in my first Rolex, a 6694 with extra stunning dial...
I did it for authentication as the local AD could not 100% ensure that it was real.
So after some weeks I got it back, with the confirmation, that the movement was quite old and real. The case, dial, hands and crystal were fake. But they sent the watch back...
May be this depends on local jurisdiction, but at least I have the letter confirming it.

Bye

Marko
