by far ...

the rarest version of PN oyster dials : 1st series case and dial with the very unusual "Rolex Cosmograph Oyster" configuration .. maybe 6-8 seen since the early 2000s..
so the price may look high ... but it's perfectly consistent to the present market values ..

340k incl buyers premium is very impressive. With last weeks prices in Geneva I suppose this isn't too surprising. For me it's completely crazy but I'm quite sure I'm not in the target group when this comes up again in a few years. The buyer looked very satisfied so I suppose a "congrats" is in it's place. :)

even at higher prices so this hammer value doesn't depends at all on the last auctions results as....
paraphrasing an old movie ( " Citizen Kane " ) : .. < it's the market baby .. just the market >

oppppss......

I have done a mistake as ....
the movie is another one ( " Deadline " ), and the original sentence I have changed is the following:
"That's the press, baby! The press! And there's nothing you can do about it. Nothing!"

lol...it really does have very little to do with paul newman other than it just being a nickname.

for a black RCO newman..price is about normal rate.

Is the dial damaged around the 5-6 or is that the picture (or the plexi)?

Lume dot 9 oclock completely missing. Other than that pretty perfect.

Actually just looked at that...I missed it but it isn't missing. It is there and full but has a black mark on it. Go to the link and hit the X3 magnifier.

maybe the dial is not perfect but ...

this " blemish" is completely irrelevant compared to the overall rarity of this watch.
