Derek Jeter uses the name Philip to order Starbucks / Also Wearing Gold Rolex

So there is a picture in the NY Post that shows Jeter holding a Starbucks cup with the name Philip. I guess he tries to use a fake name when he places his order. Like anyone in NYC wouldn't know it was Derek Jeter. Also he is sporting an all gold Rolex!

What's not to like? Look at the gorgeous all gold Rolex! Not to mention he plays the game right and is a stand up guy. One of the biggest things he has done right is not getting married and allowing himself to enjoy the bachelor lifestyle. Have you seen the list of ladies this guy has dated? Unreal!

Hahaha yes I have. The only thing I don't like about him is the fact that he is a YANKEE. I'm a sox fan all the way

Other than that the guy is awesome and I have a couple of friends who have been drafted over the years and say he is a BLAST to hang out with

It's true. He is the best of the lot and future hall of famer. Like the guy, hate the shirt. LOL
I just wish he played for a different team.

Phillip Joseph Nevin is the guy who beat out Jeter for #1 draft pic.Perhaps old feelings die hard?

from wiki "The Houston Astros chose Nevin with the first overall pick in the 1992 Major League Baseball Draft.[4] Hal Newhouser, a scout for the Astros, had evaluated Derek Jeter extensively prior to the draft. Convinced that Jeter would anchor a winning team, Newhouser lobbied team management to select Jeter, and quit in protest over the Astros' decision to take Nevin instead"

Good story, love draft flubs and the decision/rationalizations behind them.

I think my friend Gary was agreeing with you, not asking a question, hence the lack of a question mark. Voice inflection doesn't really come out on message boards.

I THOUGHT it was Beverly Hills Cop, KNMAD, Thank you for stating that fact!
is what I would guess Gary meant without actually reading his mind

Not the way you took it which I assume was:
