Agree, that's the way to do it !
I have to purchase a lot of my watches without actually seeing them as we don't have a lot of the major watch AD's in Nova Scotia.

You will hear from supporters of each model listed.....my (biased) opinion is the 000.
1) I wanted one without a second hand
2) I wanted a painted dial
3) good timing on a good deal presented itself and never wished for any of the others* after it arrived

disclaimer: by other I mean a base model....I did own a Submersible after the 000.

Seems like you want a zero (good choice!). Contact a trusted TRF seller and you'll have one on your wrist in a couple of days. Post pix!

I've got three PAMs in my stable now, but I think I will eventually flip them all and keep the 000. If you're on a budget, then that would be my 1st choice.

I finally go with 176 from the AD. Thank you guys.

(I personally like a light weight on my wrist but I'm quite sure that I will be hunting a stainless steel one soon.)

:)

Now's the time to hunt down your first aftermarket strap...

I'm kind of in the same boat, would eventually like to add a Pam to my collection. Unfortunately we don't have a Panerai AD in this part of the country....does anyone know a good AD in Canada to deal with ?

I like the 321.

I would say go with a 112. Now you could go with a G series which was the last one series with the sausage painted dial, but with the new updated crown guard. Or you can go with later series with the sandwich dial.

I own the G series model. Only 1200 made compared to 2000 or 3000 on other series. Of course this number varies from model to model, I just like the lower model.

Also, the G series engine is just beautiful to look at, nice engravings compare to the newer 112.

Good luck!
