I was under the impression that ALL gold Daytona always have the little arrows on the bezel in the place of the dots...? Is that just the case on WG models to differentiate them from SS models I imagine?

Nope, yellow gold models have the same markings as the SS as do TT watches.
Only WG, RG and strap models have the triangle markings.

You got any scratches yet? You know that feeling you had from your first scratch on your SS? Triple it.....

I've already got a few small ones so far, you can barely see them but I know they're there. I've been sooooo careful but they seem to pop out from nowhere? I'm avoiding knocks at all costs and so far I haven't hit anything. The only consolation is that my SS Daytona picked up quite a few scratches in it's time and after a while, I was able to relax and look past them.... I think I'll have a long wait on this one though...

In any case, the good feeling of wearing it outweighs the urge to protect it.
I love every minute of mine and I'm sure you will too!

Almost, but not entirely true. Yellow gold strap models also have the triangle markers.

Also, congratulations to the OP.

Good question...I'm gonna leave that one to the experts. All the modern YG I have seen have the dots, while the WG and RG have the triangles.
