Looking for advice..DJ II vs Explorer2

Hi all,

I have in the past few months I have "come home". 12 years ago when i first began my passion for beautiful timepieces, I (not surprisingly) chose Rolex.
Over the years i have migrated to other brands (Omega, AP, UN, GO, Lange, IWC) never quite finding contentment. I became very enamoured with Panerai, and i have been collecting and selling many examples for a couple of years. I began to find the size less than comfortable (especially 47mm) and less than practical in my everyday life as a doctor, especially working in a hospital.
A friend of mine reintroduced me to Rolex, and I have fallen hook, line and sinker. I have tried a few different models over these few months. I was very fortunate to be able to acquire a white Daytona SS (a magnificent piece). I had a black explorer 2 which I swapped for a white, and had a GMT iic which I traded for a Sub C no date.

I am now considering trading the Explorer for a DJ II Rhodium dial smooth bezel stick.I did also look at a blue dial with the fluted bezel, but i feel the smooth is more appropriate for work and my "style" in general.
The Sub is just a fantastic all round watch ("tool" just doesn't do that watch justice) and now the Explorer seems almost redundant.

Rhodium dial is gorgeous...

I know this is a personal decision, but i am open to any thoughts, suggestions or comments.

Thanks,

Ben

I have the DJ II (white) and the Explorer II (black) and am very happy with both.

If you don't need to track 2 time zones then the DJ would be a nice dress watch to have in the stable.

Good luck deciding!
