Never thought I would ask this?

This weeks threads about the risk or otherwise of wearing a Rolex when travelling remided me that I still had these...See below.

I the early 90's in broad daylight outside of one of the busiest stores in London on one of the busiest streets in the World , surrounded by hundreds of people , two Guys attacked my and attempted to tear my TT sub from my wrist.
(It was visable as I had my cell phine to my ear). I managed to fight them off ( adrenalin and not somthing I would recomend although I was perversly proud of knocking one of them to the ground and making the other run off).
Luckily only slight cuts to my wrist but the bracelet was ruined except for these links.I had completely forgotten about them until this weeks posts. I looked on e.bay and could not establish a value I though was realistic.
Does anyone know what a fair rate would be or how I find out?

What a story. Glad you and your watch made it out of the scuffle. Thanks for sharing. Sorry but I wouldn't know what a fair price would be.

You're looking to sell the links or buy replacement pieces to repair it?

You can use eBay search tool on "sold" listings to see what's been happening in parts sales.

$80-90 for each removable link, $150-200 for the clasp (depends on good auction results)

The permanent links and single end link are less easy to value - but a watchmaker who works on Rolex (like Rikki) might buy it for part value.

So glad you and your watch survived as someone else here said. It is too bad we can not walk with pride and truly enjoy our watches amid other folks on the street. Hope you are able to get the bracelet repaired.
