Will a new style bracelet from the 116610 or 116710 fit 16570 or 16550?

Hi,

will a new style bracelet from the 116610(SubC) or 116710(GMT-C) fit the old 16570(EXP2) or 16550(EXP2)? If not, will the glidelock bracelet fit the 16570(EXP2) or 16550(EXP2)?

thanks

I just bought both watches. The bracelet from the subC will fit the old 16570. The only difference is when the subC bracelet is installed on the 16570, the endlink of the subC bracelet will stick out just a teeny bit on the underneath. From the top they look identical at the endlinks.

Other things I noticed are

1) You have to use the respective springbars for each head because the springbars are of different sizes. The subC springbars and holes are thicker and bigger.

2) The subC bracelet tapers much more aggressively than the 16570 Explorer II. I much prefer the more gradual taper of the 16570 bracelet.

3) The subC bracelet endlink is slightly thicker, more robust looking. You can only see this when you take out the bracelet. This is not noticeable on the watch.

4) SubC bracelet feels slightly heavier when you don't take into account the clasp. But this is purely going by feel, no weighing scale involved. This gives me the impression that the SubC bracelet is better made.

5) I also found out the clasps are interchangeable; so decided to just swap the clasps instead of the bracelets.

I will post some pictures if I have the time.

Yes the clasp will fit but its well over £1000 on its own, bracelet plus clasp silly money IMHO. And in the real world would doubt if it was any stronger than the old type simple bracelets and with them far less to go wrong.
