New Family Portrait

I usually lurk here. Although I have a fairly good sized Rolex collection, my technical knowledge is limited. I have learned and continue to learn here. In spite of Jocke's famous saying about cameras and flutes, I bought a camera and own a flute! So please pardon the poor "flute" work!!

I have a rotation worked out. I pick up a couple at the bank every week or so. There's a couple that are pure safe queens, though.

Wear each one for 2 weeks and then you have all 52 weeks of covered exactly! (Yes, I counted them!)

Impressive collection.

Thanks! I'm glad y'all like 'em! It would average out to a couple of weeks each. I leave the DRSD and Red Sub in the bank vault, pretty much. But I wear the rest of them. As evidenced by the scratches, etc. Some do get a little more wear than others.

I don't know, some just float my boat more than others. Or maybe "stuck on stupid!" LOL! All of the Explorers are different, though. One 1016 is hacking (1971) the other isn't (1969.) The others are different ref.#s.

That would be a perfect collection if only you had more Rolexes.

Nice collection!

You know, I did the math on how many SS models I could have bought if I didn't go full gold and I would have a pretty cool collection by now but I figured I could only wear one at a time so in the end, gold won! I'm pretty sure I will be a 2 watch man for the foreseeable future (SS SubC and YG Daytona) but I do hope to add a WG Meteorite Daytona one day (or meteorite DD2 if they ever release one).

Dan, I did have a GMT Rootbeer for a few years. It's the only one I've ever sold. Only one watch at a time??? You have two wrists!!Look at Mr. Dowling.

Thank y'all! I have considered a Daytona and a Yacht Master at various times. The Milgauss GV is my only "odd ball" in my collection. The lightning bolt hand was too much to pass up.

I like how you have included some of the newer ceramic versions in your mini collections you didn't get hopelessly hooked on vintage- nice thinking!
