Rolex Date Position and Placement

I am wondering how many people would be in favor of positioning the date at something other than the current three o'clock placement. I have seen watches that have the date at the four o'clock or the six o'clock positions. What are your thoughts on this and do you think that is something we may eventually see in the Rolex family of watches?

Why change it? Really the natural place to put it

sure, they can mess with the date all they like, but only if they bring back lugholes.

Funny how I sometimes struggle with these ideas. Change occurs everywhere, and there is a natural resistance to even progressive change. In this case, it would be change for the sake of change alone, and I have to vote 'No'.

I like the date to be at the 3 o'clock position or not on the dial at all.

I also voted for three o'clock but am wondering if we will ever see anything different on one of the Rolex models?

3 oclock is good but it wouldn't bother me at the 6 oclock position as in the Tudor HC.

The current position is good to me, I buy other watches if I want a date elsewhere.

...Though a date indicator with a hand could be a though to ponder...

Id have to see it. They could make it work.
But i hope they don't change the position on their DJ and DD models.

I like it because I can see the date when the watch is just peeking out the cuff of my shirt/jacket.

The Zenith chronograph has the date window at 4:30

Should Rolex add a date to the Daytona, there is where it would go.

Why on God's Green Earth move it on established models???

At 6:00 o'clock might be OK but not with Cyclops.

I voted no because if they moved the position of the date window it would no longer be under the magnifier.

Another vote for the 3 position. I have seen placements at the 4, 6, and even 9 positions...3 is good.

I think it's perfect where it is but I wouldn't mind if it were in the 6 o'clock position.
