Rolex's in Miami

I'm on vacation in Miami and there seem to be people wearing a Rolex everywhere!

Staying at the Delano and every other person has a Rolex on, also spotted four Panerai's in here too.

What's going on? Mine don't feel special here with all these other ones about! Lol

It's kind of like how you see every female in San Francisco sporting an LV bag. Regardless of per capita.

I doubt it. Lots of money in that city especially on the beach and surrounding areas. In the grand scheme of things most people can afford a Rolex with one swipe of a credit card.

While you're close might as well visit bal Barbour shops, seybold, and
Some of our vintage sellers. Your watch is still special! You'd be surprised
How many fine watch enthusiasts call Miami home.

Yelp. I was wandering around the Majors at Aventura Mall last night wearing my sub c. Are you sure you didn't see me?

There are a lot of APs, Hublots, IWCs. I didn't notice that many Rolex to be honest - of course a certain number is to be expected. I see more Masseratis and Mercedes than Rolex...

Rolex is the most worn watch in the world so no surprise there.

Miami does have a lot of Rolex wearers, but also tend to go more international with AP--will see more AP's in Miami than most places.

Yes, I have noticed that TT Subs seem to be popular in Miami!

The general belief is that Rolex produces 2000 watches a day! So this huge stock has to be accounted and found on the wrist somewhere!

Went to that AD in Aventura Mall, talk about being stuck up your own arse! Rudest AD I been to lol

Went to the Panerai AD in Bal Harbour too, watches in the states are dearer than the UK. For example the PAM321 in UK is £6400. In US it's $9800 plus 7% tax = $10,486 converted to pounds at today's rate of 1.56 equates to £6721. They weren't willing to do any deal or offer free straps or anything.

IWC in Bal Harbour were willing to discount by the 7% tax and also were cheaper than the UK

Oh, the one in Aventura Mall is one of the more polite ones, seriously :-)
Panerai and IWC in Bal Harbor are boutiques, not ADs, and therefore do not discount...

Best Regards -

Best AD experience in Miami was on Lincoln Road - SoBe, at Mayors. Great staff, not the most knowledgeable on the watches, but very helpful and willing to discount.

Worst experience in Florida was at Aventura Mall, Rolex AD and even the Omega boutique shop were total pricks. My guess is that there's so much dirty money floating around Miami, they don't have to be cordial...

That's why I buy most of my watches in England. Plus, as an American, I get the 20% British VAT back.

You can get new Panerai watches Miami from reliable sellers with a 15% discount. Regarding the comment in general it is true that there are many luxury watches on the wrist but there are many poor and the unemployment is in Florida the largest of USA I think. This is what happens in the world, so shares rise more Louis Vuitton than Walmart. So I read an article in the Wall Street Journal.

Hmmm. I've always been treated courteously at the boutiques and all Miami ADs when I visited.

Same here and my job requires me to travel to Miami at least 8 times per year. I always visit at least one AD or Boutique to check the new arrivals, when I am there.

Another thing about Miami is the abundance of water activities; boating, skiing, the beach, and it seems everyone has a pool.

As we all know, Rolex is known for water resistance so you are covered no matter what comes up...

All the other AD's and boutiques I visited were great. Just the Rolex one in Aventura had attitude.

People do have a lot of money out here no doubt. Phat watch on one hand and a hot chick on the other. Love it!
