Handedness and your Rolex
I hadn't really thought about it too much before, but what is your preferential hand of use and what wrist do wear your watch on.
Is it always the right handers wear their watch on the left wrist and vice versa? Or do some of you switch it up? I'm right handed (a bit ambidextrous, but still right preferential) and wear my GMT on the left. |

I tried to switch up once, but the watch is far to tight on my right wrist since my right wrist is slightly bigger. And don't you come with any tosser comments now, Jocke!

I always have worn mine on my left hand. Back in 97 I had surgery for a broken Ulna and Radius and had pins sticking out of my left arm. I had to become a right wrist wearer. I never got used to it. After I recovered I went back to wear my watch on my left hand.

Right handed and wear my watch on my left wrist. I posted in another thread that I noticed Steve McQueen always wore his watch on his right wrist. If it was good enough for The King of Cool then it should be good enough for most

Me, right-handed, watch on left.....tried it on the right but it felt "funny" and the crown keeps digging into my arm.

I learned as a youngster...
My first watch was something of a new experience and I really didn't know which would be most comfortable, but being a right hander I tried it on my right wrist. Then I found out while playing baseball that when I threw the ball hard, the watch came off my wrist and followed the ball halfway acrosss the field.. It's been worn on the left wrist every since..

If someone gave me a dollar for every time this question has been asked on TRF, I could get myself a new Rolex!!

I thought that you're suppose to wear the watch on your non-dominant hand, that way it doesn't get as banged up. Me? Right handed, watch on left wrist. My wife? Left handed, watch on right wrist.

I'm unusual - left handed, but I've always worn my GMT on my left wrist - it just feels better that way.

Bo, if you want to wear the watch well in the right hand too, just switch from using your left hand to your right hand and so each time, and every day
