Daytona 18k weight

I've worn my 116258 18k Daytona on bracelet for over a month now. I just can't seem to get used to the weight. I'm wearing as an everyday watch. I do enjoy the weight at first but after a while I think it's a bit overwhelming.

I considering of switching to a DD YG. Does it weigh less than the Daytona? Am I gonna regret it?

It should weigh less if it's the 36mm DD because it is smaller (180g approx). DDII will probably be heavier than the Daytona.
