The new 11613/TT Sub/Bleusy hits the streets

I somehow missed the annoncement in Basel that they were chaning the TT Blue Sub back to older/traditional type of dial instead of the "smurfie" on. I was really impressed when I saw it earlier this afternoon at a local AD and I personal I prefer the older bluesy dial. Bizarrely enough, in real life the whole watch appears less maxi vis-a-vis the regular ss Sub-C (but I'm sure that is just and optical illusion as I was stairing at the dial...)

I was told by AD that Rolex will keep the smurfie-color-dial on the diamond TT Sub.

I'm not even a fan of TT but that is a beautiful watch for sure.

I prefer the 16613...bezel and dial matched perfectly....the new ceramic bezel and sunburst dial don't seem to match too well....if the ceramic bezel shade was a bit darker, then it would be perfect IMO.

I agree the older one is more balanced, but since that is not an option anymore I think this is a step in the right direction.

As always with the TT's and watches with colored dials, they are more attractive in real life than on images on the internet.

Agreed. I don't like it as much as the 16613, but I like this better than the flat dial.

"I was told by AD that Rolex will keep the smurfie-color-dial on the diamond TT Sub."

Rolex will no longer offer the diamond dial on any Submariners once the current stock is sold. The new catalog that came out earlier this month does not show the diamond dial anymore.

That can only mean my flat blue will skyrocket in value!!!! Just kidding!!!

Jokes aside, both look very nice, but flat is my personal preference. That said, your comment of looking "less-maxi" does seem to be very true. A weird optical illusion going on...

Thanks for the pics

Looks very nice, but I'm glad they're not putting it on the WG model.

It looks fantastic and in most light condtions Ive seen it blends well with the bezel colour. In that two shot its much nicer and more interesting than the flat blue.

IMHO, flat blue for the ceramic, sunburst for the aluminum. for me, the sunburst doesn't work with the ceramic bezel color.
