Sub 6538 - Dial changed ?
Hi,
again my old Sub from 1956 ... ... somebody told me, the dial might have been changed as the older ones just were marked "SWISS" and mine has "SWISS - T<25" ... and the hands have different colour than the dial. a/ is this dial original or newer? b/ what does it mean "T < 25"? Thanks Zerojanvier. |

T<25 means that is has a Tritium dial that emits less the 25 milicure of radio-active radiation.
Here is an article about luminous materials. And you can read about the various marking in this overview. Since you're watch is from before 1960, the dial showing T<25 (1960 onwards) must have been added later.
