Another one of these threads
Hey everyone -
My collection currently includes a 16610LV, a 16710, and a Pelagos. The 16710 is black, but a pepsi insert is enroute (from ommsen). I just haven't been wearing the Pelagos enough with those other two options, so I was considering replacing it with a Speedmaster Professional. It bears a similar price, but is an entirely different watch; not only from the Pelagos, but the Sub and GMT as well. Do you think that's a good choice? Do you wear your Speedmaster when faced with a decision between it and a Sub or GMT? Also are there any other suggestions for a sporty chronograph, Swiss or German, in the $3000 range? And what would this be without some wristshots? |

My only conflict is between my Sub and Planet Ocean 2500. The Sub wins more than half the time, even though I think the PO is a better looking watch. Go figure. No plans to get rid of either.

Interesting. It was between the PO and the Pelagos for me. I could not make a decision, so I just decided to buy which ever came up for sale first! And the Pelagos it was.

I'd keep the Pelagos.

That's a nice trio you have - and two out of three wrist shots on NATO, to boot!
I agree with Mike - keep the Tudor.

From where I'm sitting - Pelagos > Speedy. If you were talking about a dress watch, or a two tone or gold chrono, then the answer would be different.

You have a nice collection. Another option is to search for a user speedmaster. Sometimes you can score one for a great price and keep what you've got?

That's all tough.
Love the pelagos. But if your not wearing it. Flip it.

If a chrono is what your after, i think speedy pro is the #1 answer regardless of price, it is a piece of art!

If you aren't feeling the Pelagos sell it and get a Speedmaster Pro. But make sure you get the 3570.50. It's a classic and the only chronograph you need to consider at the $3000 mark.
