Sell 114060 for 116613LB?
Let me preface that my 114060 was sold to me at a good price and I could sell it for profit or trade it for no loss, and then but the 116613LB at a GREAT price. So, I am not worried about the difference in price.
So, in your opinion, is the 116613LB a good watch as an everyday watch? Never owning a watch with gold, I am not sure if it could be dressed down enough like my 114060 could. The reason why I am considering the 116613 is because my friend, who owns a Authorized Rolex dealer, I am wanting a date Sub and he seems to not know when he will get a 116610LN (Iv'e been waiting for a while now and he sells them before they barely get through the door), BUT, he has the 116613LB and it catches my eye every time I look at it. I am not one for flipping watch, but I am only buying a couple to pass down to my boys. And a little insight on who I am that may help with your input. I am a Southern guy that lives on the Coast. I golf, fish, crab, shrimp, take family on boat rides, the beach and just do other Southern things that we do...like oyster roast and hunting, but I use a G-shock for that. I am a conservative who throws on khaki pants and blazer, button down for Church. I also wear jeans and khakis with button down shirts to my place of business. Any input is appreciated. Also, is it me, or does the bezel 116613LB on Rolex's site look darker? http://www.rolex.com/watches/submari...13lb-0001.html |

I'd stick with the 114060 or wait for what you really want the 116610

Never a fan of that Blue TT model. And I'd never relinquish a SS/black Sub.

If you can buy the 116613LB for $10,720.00 out the door price brand new from an AD and no sales tax then I would go for it.

Sounds like you should wait for a 116610LN.

For an everyday watch the ss sub works well, if the price of the tt sub being offered to you is at a really great price by all means go for it.

The 116613, as long as it is the new blue dial is a great watch, not sure if I would surrender a SS Sub to get it though. Personally, I'd wait for the 116610, since that is what you really want.

Go for the 116613LB--"it catches my eye every time I look at it". No problem wearing it everyday what so ever. The fact you can get a great deal should really help you make your mind up!! This watch was made to be out on, or in the water. I think it is a great everyday watch....

Don't buy a watch because you can get it at a great price. Wait and get the SS Sub Date you really want.

Of course, if you're planning on getting both anyway you may as well get the TT one right now if you can get a good deal on it.

That's not the reason at all. My brother has had his blue TT for about 8 years now and I have always liked it, but I like the new ceramic version A LOT better. I like both.

The 116613LB is a great watch, one of Rolex best models. I prefer the flat blue to the new one that has just come out,but its just preference really.

If your AD friend received the 116610 in stock right now, would you still choose the 116613LB?
I think the answer to that question would reveal what I would do in your situation. If you'd still pick the 116610, I'd wait for that. One is bound to come in sooner or later. Having said that, I think the 116613LB is as versatile as you want it to be. I'd be happy to wear it in all the situations you mentioned. |

I love the 116613lb but the most latest version with the old style dial in maxi is the one to get. The other 116613 are sell for less because of the new one. Your link did not work for me to show which specific one you want.
By the description of your attire and hobbies I would say you could easily pull off the 116613. The blue sapphire dial really makes the watch pop and the blue gold TT makes the watch less conservative. So if you are conservative and don't want to show off, then pass on the blue. But if you like a bit of style and flash the blue is the way to go. It's one of my favorite models if not my most favorite. Though I love PAM111 and IWC Pilot watches too. |

Blue is the colour of conservatives over here so you know what to do.

I guess being conservative and being a conservative are two different things. This watch is blingy and not considered conservative in attire but is fine for more flamboyant conservatives IMHO ;)
