Briefcases

Does anyone else here have multiple "Nice" briefcases? I am looking at saddleback leather briefcases again even though I have a perfectly good Jack Georges case. Trying to figure out if I'm crazy or if others share a zeal for nice briefcases too and what I would do with 2 briefcases? does anyone else have more than one and rotate them somehow?

With the advent of technology they appear to be almost a dying breed...

My wife bought me a zero Halliburton for my Bday about 10 years ago....fast forward one year and 100 flights later it looked like hell....400 bucks down the drain. I told her get me the 90 dollar aluminum Samsonite instead....one year later it held up better than the expensive one.

Soft leather and fabric Bally for me. 7 years and lots of abuse in it has weathered in nicely and still lugs PC and all my paper around, over my shoulder. I would love a nice Louis Vuitton trunk suitcase as a briefcase, but for me they have gone the way of the cassette recorder. I guess if you are a lawyer or someone it may still make sense. Most people have I think leather slouches that can be carried as a briefcase or over the shoulder.

The Saddleback should be the last one you'll ever need - at least in terms of durability.

Thanks guys. I picked up the Saddleback Thin medium briefcase in Chestnut off of Dave's Deals. I have a more refined looking bag too so I'm justifying it by thinking ill use the Saddleback as my everyday bag and the more refined black bag for interviews or executive level meeting or when I need to carry more.

I used to always carry around coach bags in the 90's and now the one I have is an expensive vintage bag. But now days with my laptop, I can't justify having one. They are a great accessory, though, and I do like the sportiness of the Tumi line.

I use a Tumi, but I do love Dave Munson's products. I have a wallet & iPad case...love them both.

Tumi here. Lightweight and durable. Mine is 10+ years old, with plenty of miles on it, and looks new. Big enough to haul around the iPad and the few sheets of actual paper that may be required even in this digital age.
