Why We're Wasting Our Time In TRF?
Hi, I just wondering why we're wasting most of our time in this Forums? If you count the time you wasted for chatting in this Forums, Man...is must be at least 10%-15% or maybe more of 24 hours we're wasting in this Forums. I believe your wife is often to complain your habit.lol!!!
And now Guys, I just curious to know why you like or addicted to chit chat in this Forums? Give your best reason here why you LOVE TRF so much? Give me at least 3 GOOD reason why you too often to "Hang Out" in this Forums!!! Do you love this Forums same as you love your Rolex collection? Please your reply here. Thanks Guys!!! Best Regards, TR. |

I do enjoy the humour, some forums can take things a bit to seriously imo. The info, knowledge, and help available here is second to none.

I had always wanted to buy a rolex (and finally did buy the SS GMT11C last November)......
a. This forum helped with me realising the different models out there. b. Gave me some fantastic feedback on the GMT 11C. c. When I ran into some problems on the initial purchase of the GMT11C, all of the forum members were absolutely fantastic at giving me some good solid advice ( almost as if they were family and friends...) So I absolutely love this forum. |

That's a difficult one. The only thing that i can say in complete honesty is that this site is linked with my rolex. So whenever i think of rolexes TRF and rolex watches will be the first things in mind

None of my in real life friends nor my girlfriend have any interest in watches, so TRF is the place for me to share opinions and learn more about watches plus have fun.

I joined because I met JJ on another watch forum. He brought me over here and I've never looked back.
When I came over, there weren't a lot of members. If you look at my sig line, I'm member #156 and I think TRF was around for a year or so then. We had a lot of fun then, as we do now, Thing about it is you could read through all of the posts then in about 20 minutes Uncle-AJ brought most of the original members over from another place as well. As a result, those that weren't banned from there, were done so as soon as it was found out that they belonged here. That other place said TRF would never survive. I joined over there to get banned just to not feel left out We hijacked every thread from the get go. Nothing was sacred The quality of people then are the same as they are now. People who have class, and would go out of their way for someone else here. I've had lunch and a few beers with Chip. He is a great person and if I had the chance to do it again, I would in a heartbeat. I still ask him a question that has to do with everything technical. Thanks Chip My wife and I were invited to spend the weekend at C.J. and his wife's house last year. We had never met in person before, only talked on the phone for a year and a half prior. You know what, as soon as we met we hugged each other like long lost buddies. I can't even begin to tell you how much fun we had together those four days. The wives hit it off just the same. We laughed, ate (tomato pie, provolone, cannolis) and drank like there was no tomorrow. Craig's family id just the same. I even introduced Craig's wife to another kind of coffee. He'll never forgive me for that one. Even my friends and family that have a Rolex watch think I'm nuts for being so into them as I am. For me, it's a hobby. But TRF is a home away from home. It's like the corner bar where everyone knows your name. It's fun, knowledgeable, and friendly. There isn't a better place on the Internet to hang out. But I keep coming back because of the people. That what TRF has been and always will be about

2. You all Guys so friendly, make me so enjoy the time here. 3. Same as Bo said, all my family doesn't really like watches and all my friends didn't care about watches. That's why I love being here. 4. I've always known about Rolex, but now I really KNOW about Rolex. I've learned a ton from everyone here in the few months I've been around. 5. It seems everyone here wants to help everybody with about anything. I think that's great! It's hard to find that kind of generosity anywhere nowadays. THANKS TO EVERYONE!!!! I'll continue to sit back; listen & learn.

It's a great place to talk watches, and this is one of the more knowledgeable and friendly forums I've come across in the various things I'm interested in. I've learned a ton here. Great place.

I've been here for a long time. I was away for a bit, but a long time nonetheless. There is no other place like this. Just have a look at some recent threads.
We have members offering watches to fellow members at great prices. Other members mailing gifts to fellow members for nothing. Still other members are willing to take others to their AD and get them great discounts with no sales tax. Others go way out of their way to offer help and advise on watch repair. There's always someone here willing to invest their time and effort to help another with advice, guidance or just a congratulations on a new watch. I've met some people here who have become genuine friends and that's not a term I use loosely nor a title easily attained from me. Some of us have never even met, only skyped, phoned and emailed. Yet, they mean every bit as much to me as a friend I see every day. Even the newer members here with their depth of character and goodwill never cease to amaze me. This place truly is unique. Here's to all of you

I am kind of new to this forum, but it became apparent very early on that this is a group of people that share a passion and also care about the fellow members. This is unusual in the world today. I certainly do not feel that this is a waste of time, but rather a constructive hobby that only has one downside and that is the expense associated with it. This is a great resource populated with great caring people. I am very happy to be part of this environment.
