I still love mine.... BUT
So, I thought I am getting bored with my 15400. I even post a thread about it. It's too thick! It's dull, it's plain.... so I told myself. But wear it again after 3 weeks, and it suddenly grow on me by leaps and bounds. How I ever even contemplate of selling it???
Still love mine.... BUT A formidable competitor is on the horizon. It's way more proportional in every way. It seduces with it's sleeker, super-model figure. It's arguably way more iconic. Need I say more? Had my first real "close-encounter" today. And it's .... A civil war looming. The battle of the Royal Oaks. Just sharing some pics and my thoughts. Have a nice day. |

The royal oak is a work of art...
15202 is a masterpiece.

There's no better feeling than when you "rediscover" a new for an old watch. It's almost like having a "new" watch again. Cheers.

Well well, that sure is one heck of a battle...
The blue dial would get my vote but at that point you cannot go wrong with either.

The 15202 wins for me every time.
The 15400 is a great watch, but IMO if there's one AP to own, it's the Jumbo. |

Jumbo hands down. My wallet doesn't agree so it looks like a 15400 on the horizon for me.

400's silver dial is unrivalled but if the 202 appeals more overall then I would go for it, altho lack of seconds hand bothers me as it makes the watch very static.

Everybody is telling me to flip the 400 for the Jumbo. I wonder if it is crazy to want to keep both in my collection

Do it. You won't wear the 15400 anymore. I had both and had to force myself to wear the 15400. No comparison. Sold this.

I think it's a worthwhile duo, given the night and day difference in the dial and the much flatter, smaller look of the Jumbo. I'm thrilled to have a white 41mm ROC and a Jumbo. They have very different looks. The Jumbo shows much less of those polished highlights, so the 15400 will be much louder and blingier. The Jumbo will be for occasions when you want to "walk quietly with a big stick" as Mike once put it.

Both awesome. If I had to go with only one - I think it would be the Jumbo.

between those two (white 15400 and jumbo), jumbo wins. if the 15400 were blue, i don't think i would be as tempted to flip (but, the 15202 is awesome).

Why not have both?
Pros and cons to each IMHO, it really depends on how/when you wear it. Either way it's a winner! |
